Football - Suarez Back to Help Liverpool

Many Liverpool fans may have thought that they had seen the last of Luis Suarez in their famous red kit but, having stayed at the club despite the attention of a number of top European names over the summer, he is delighted to be back in the first team.

Suarez returned to the Liverpool starting line-up for the Reds 1-0 defeat at Manchester United in the Carling Cup and, although he was disappointed with the result, he was glad to be back and was keen to remind the fans, and his teammates, what they have been missing.

"All the time I try my best on the pitch. I'm here to help the team and help Liverpool," Suarez said, clearly keen to win the fans back over after his 10 game ban. “I know it was a difficult moment but for myself and for the team it's very important I'm back because I can help the team and off the pitch I can't," he added.

Much to the delight of fans who bet on Premier League, Liverpool started the season brightly, winning their first three league games, but they lost their unbeaten league record at Southampton last weekend and their cup exit to United only reiterates their fragility.

With Suarez back, however, less of Liverpool’s attacking burden will fall on to the shoulders of Daniel Sturridge and they will create more chances, one of area of the Liverpool performance that Suarez was particularly pleased with on Wednesday.

"The result is not good because we lost but the feeling is good because we played very well, we created chances and we missed," Suarez said. "We'll keep going for the week and for the next game."

Liverpool face the Premier League’s bottom club, Sunderland, on Sunday, and with Suarez back in the team and keen to make up for lost time, they will be confident that they can live up to the latest Premier League betting  and get their league campaign back on track.
